Hello and welcome to the site where YOUR OPINION MATTERS. We, the family of the late Steven Barley, are seeking to get a radical and immediate review on how the 999 Emergency Response is run. In particular the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) after Steven was REFUSED an ambulance despite triggering at least TWO RED FLAGS on the system for LABOURED BREATHING and CHEST PAINS.
It took a SECOND 999 CALL and a total wait of 22 minutes to get medical help which arrived simply too late to help Steven.

We would be extremely grateful if you could sign the petition and get people you know to also sign.
The more people that protest about the quality and reliability of our EMERGENCY SERVICES (in particular the NEAS) the better chance we have in changing the system that is CLEARLY FAULTY and is in need of a RADICAL and IMMEDIATE REVIEW.
After you have read the transcript of the 999 telephone call we would be grateful for you feedback.

Do you think she is competent and handled the call professionally or do you think that she handled the call in a non-professional way with a harsh and abrupt attitude, not giving the caller a chance to express the immediate urgency for the need to get emergency medical aid to Steven.
